Golden Goose Sneaker Review

It seems that Golden Goose sneakers are everywhere today, and there is a good reason why: they’re comfortable and cute! I’ve had my Black and Suede pair for over a year now and worn them all over the place. (Literally – Charleston, LA, Iceland… the list goes on!) Non-athletic sneakers are a serious trend, and these feel right up there with Nike or APL when it comes to comfort while walking around in them for hours. And they come in SO MANY fun color combos to choose from. I went with classic white and black so I could wear them with everything.

And what happens every time something has a major moment of popularity?? It gets knocked off. I’m not against this per se… fashion is fun and everyone should get to buy what they love, regardless of how much money they want to spend. But I do dislike companies/people passing off fakes as the real thing. Like my Gucci mule dupes; anytime someone comments on them I say “thank you! They’re knock-offs! Don’t they look great for $25?!?” 😂

For these specific sneakers, I am very happy with the real thing. I got a size 37 and I normally wear a 7.5. They claim European sizing, but I went down to the 37 from my usual Euro 38. This might be because I usually wear them with no-show ballet-flat socks. But if I know I’m going to be walking a TON I’ll do low athletic socks for comfort. They look good with everything: casual jeans and a tee, or dressing down a maxi dress for daytime. When you look at cost per wear, they are absolutely worth it. And come already distressed, so they still look the same after all this time! But if the cost isn’t your jam, or maybe want to dip a toe into the trend before diving it, I found a really great option for you here: GG dupe.

They look nearly identical but at the much lower price point of $30. I assume the quality isn’t the same, but that’s to be expected based on cost. It’s an easy way to get the look without investing the money.

Happy Shopping!
