Guys, I am obsessed with these Soludos Wrap Espadrilles. You’ve seen them on my insta and I hope you like them too, because I basically plan to wear them whenever it’s nice out. #NotSorry
Why I love these is obvious: espadrilles scream warm weather, and after a long winter, that’s exactly what I’m looking for right now. The color is a perfect neutral that goes with everything. The wedge heel adds height but not so tall that it’s uncomfortable. And finally, the wrap laces are just so fun. It adds that extra touch that sets them apart from your other espadrilles.
You can dress them up with a cocktail dress or wear them more casually with shorts. Or in my case, to the beach with your swim coverup.
When I bought these shoes, I didn’t think I’d devote an entire blog post to them. But then I received an email from Soludos. Part of the email read:
Today we are announcing a number of small but significant steps to be the most earth-friendly company we can be. We have a lot of work to do. Sustainability is complex and in our industries (travel and fashion) most efforts are imperfect from some dimension.
As a company, Soludos is committed to:
– No single-use plastic in the supply chain by 2020.
– Carbon Neutral Company by 2021
– All cotton footwear will be made using at least 50% upcycled yarn by 2021
– Chrome Free leathers by 2021
– Jute (the sole of espadrilles) is an eco-all star so we will continue using this natural fiber.
I mean, how great is that?! I love finding eco-friendly companies to focus on for this blog, and I’m thrilled to learn this about a brand that I’ve enjoyed for a long time. Just look at my adorable lemon espadrilles from last year! (Still available HERE.)
It’s hard to find companies who are willing to push green initiatives. It’s complicated and costly, but Soludos is doing it anyway because it’s the right thing to do. And the quality is amazing but both pairs I showed you are still under $100. Yay!
I rounded up even more cute Soludos options for you on my LIKEtoKNOW.it page HERE.
Happy Shopping!
