As someone who can’t get enough family matching moments, it was only a matter of time before we ended up twinning on the beach. When I discovered this collection of swimsuits for the entire family, from infant up to dad, it was a no-brainer. And now after vacationing in them, the reviews are in. And it’s no surprise, we all LOVE our Lilly swimsuits! As always, everything linked at the bottom for you.
The fit: the kid sizes are pretty true to size. I sized up for my little ones (my almost 8 year old got the L/8-10, my 6 year old got the M/6-7, my 3 year old got the 4) and they work perfectly this summer but I know they’ll still fit for our February break vacation and next summer. They’re a little more expensive than usual kid suits, so knowing they’ll last made the decision easier. For my one-piece, I sized up one size. The ladies at Monelle Vermont recommended that, and it was a good tip.
The details: the details on the women’s suit are so good! The little white knots down the front and back make it oh so chic. Pro tip: put the sunscreen on there before you pull the suit up – it’s hard to put on through that area once the suit is on! And the little girl’s suit has the beautiful Lilly crochet detail. The boys and men’s trunks are straightforward trunks with elastic waistbands, which my boys prefer. It’s a classic fit, very much like the VV Chappy trunks our family has worn for years.
The result: we all LOVED them! Super comfortable, super cute, and so many compliments from total strangers on the beach, LOL. The print is typically Lilly-esque but in colors that work equally well for both genders. (I once tried to sell my boys on pink trunks and they weren’t having it.) I added navy rash guards from Amazon for my boys – all about the SPF protection!
