March is here and it’s time to think about pastels, florals and sandals! Our winter was pretty mild, but I’m still excited about spring. I mean, come on: a mild winter in Massachusetts is still pretty darn cold. I broke out some new spring styles from Chicwish on our Mexican vacation and loved them! I think a there is nothing prettier than a flowy maxi skirt. Pair it with a lace top and you’ve got the perfect outfit for anything from date night to bridal shower to Easter brunch.

How pretty is this look? I picked the skirt in aqua to play off the colors of the resort. Chicwish also makes it in pink, black, yellow, and tan. So many good colors to choose from! And the lace top is perfect for skirts. It’s technically a “crop” but it’s long enough to be worn with high waisted skirts and pants and no skin shows. I’m 5’4″ and had about two inches of overlap between the top and skirt. This is a great option for when you want to show off your skirt or pants but don’t want to tuck in the top! It has an exposed zipper up the back, which you can see in the photos above.
I was so comfortable in this all night. The top has some stretch and the skirt is so flowy! I can’t wait to wear this look again, and absolutely plan to break the pieces up as well. I love the lace top paired with some distressed denim to make a casual look or the skirt paired with a cute graphic tee and flats. I am all about re-purposing items to wear them in different ways.
