This week’s shopping spotlight is on Minot’s Candle Co. This woman-owned, local small business makes small batch, hand-poured candles. Everything is non-toxic and thoughtfully sourced, free of parabens, phthalates, carcinogens and hormone disruptors. So you can feel good about burning them in your home, which you will want to do non-stop once you smell how lovely they are!

I connected with Kerry, the owner, who couldn’t be sweeter. Her love for the ocean and nature inspired the brand and it’s scents. And oh my goodness, those scents! I picked out the Fall and 1-4-3 candle scents to try. They arrived at a busy time, and I left them in the bag for a few days. Despite being packaged, the dining room where the bag sat had the prettiest scent all week! That is some high quality product!

The Fall candle is the perfect scent for the season. It captures the crisp cool air perfectly and also looks lovely next to my fall styling! (We are moving soon, so this this candle really upped my decor efforts that were limited to these two tiny pumpkins and florals… 😂) This has been burning nonstop since I opened it up – everyone in the family agrees it smells so good!

I also snagged the 1-4-3 candle, which might be my favorite scent. It is named for the Minot’s Ledge lighthouse, which flashes in that pattern. Kerry made this one a more sultry and romantic scent, playing on the pattern for “I love you” – so clever!

These and many more are available on the website and local friends can find them at Aquire Good in Hingham and Board143 in Scituate. I’ve got my eye on the Winter candle thinking ahead to the holidays. What a perfect gift!
Thanks to Minot’s Candle Co for partnering on this post.
Happy shopping!
