I think we can all safely say this this holiday season is different than what we’re used to. We’re staying home, which is normal for us, but no family will be visiting this year so quieter than we’re used to. That said, it’s still Christmas! I wanted to find a great outfit that was festive and fun, but also really comfy because let’s be honest – that’s what we all need right now.

This sweater and skirt combo is just that. I actually love this combo generally – I do it all year round, even with lightweight sweaters in the summer! It’s classic and chic. The chunky braided knit and turtleneck style keep you warm and cozy, while the oversized fit allows for plenty of movement and comfort. The arms are so full and voluminous – you can just ball up those hands and tuck them right in!

The skirt fits beautifully and is the perfect midi length where it’s not too long that you’re stepping on it but also not too short to sit/bend over/move about easily. The skirt has a high waist, which pairs perfectly with the cropped length of the sweater so that you can get that little tuck in front without it being bulky.

The best part is the price. The sweater is normally $73 but currently on sale for $55. and the skirt is $50. I love that Chicwish always has gorgeous pieces at great price points. I already paired the sweater with high rise jeans and loved the more casual look. And then I plan to wear the skirt again with a cute leopard top. Both pieces are super versatile. These days I am only shopping for pieces that can multi-task.

I think the monochromatic colors keep the look fresh and elegantly festive. Good for Christmas OR any winter occasion because it’s not overtly red and green. (Like a January birthday – where my fellow Capricorns at?!) Of course I paired it with sparkly heels, because I never turn down a touch of sparkle, but you could also pair this with boots or flats. Or slippers because it’s your house and Christmas and you can do what you want to!

Tell me – are you dressing up for Christmas? Or New Years? Or keeping them casual? (If so, I have a fun post on the way for loungewear – stay tuned!)
Thank you to Chicwish for partnering on this post.
Happy shopping!
